Raise Some Dough!
Windham High School Band is teaming up with Uno Chicago Grill to raise money for a trip to NYC. To take part go to the Uno Chicago Grill at The Maine Mall in South Portland starting at 11 a.m. and ending at 12 a.m. Bring a ticket with you and give it to your server when  you pay your bill. Benefit Dance
Pulse Dance Company from Studio for the Living Arts Center in Gray hosts a Bruce Roberts Toy Fund Benefit Dance Performance at 7 p.m. at the Gray/New Gloucester Middle School. Bean Supper

Christmas in the Barn
Faith Lutheran Church of North Windham presents “Christmas in the Barn” at the Knight Farm, 443 Sebago Lake Road in Gorham, at 2 p.m. There will be a Christmas pageant with live animals and caroling. FMI, call Marcia at 650-3972.

Noe, Noe – A Seasonal Concert
The Saint Mary Schola presents Noe, Noe, a seasonal concert of medieval, renaissance and baroque chants and motets and music by the Sabbathday Lake Shakers. Shoes are on Dec. 14, 15 and 18. Dec. 14 the show is at 4 p.m. at St. Mary the Virgin Church, 43 Foreside Road in Falmouth. Tickets are $25. Call 781-3366. Dec. 15 the show is at 7 p.m. at the same location, but tickets are $20 at the door. December 18, the show is at 7:30 p.m. at th Franco-American Heritage Center, 46 Cedar St. in Lewiston. Help Out for the Holidays

The Windham Food Pantry is taking applications for Christmas baskets and for the Toy Workshop Program. Applicants must come to the Human Resources Building on Route 202 to fill out an application. Attention Knitters

The Caring Community of Gray and New Gloucester is asking knitters to make hats and mittens for neighbors in needs this holiday season. The goal is to give hats and mittens for each child with the Christmas gifts donated. Donated yarn is available. FMI, call Becky Beote at 428-3795.

Not Your Mother’s Garden Club of GNG

The club meets the first Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Gorrill-Palmer Office, 15 Shaker Road in Gray. Food Pantry Hours

The Food Pantry/Clothes Closet is only open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for donations. Weekend donations should call for an appointment. Monday the Pantry is open from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for people whose last names begin with A-H, 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for those whose last names begin with I-P, and from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for those whose last names begin with Q-Z. Veteran Meetings
All local veteran groups meet at the Windham Veterans Center at 35 Veterans Memorial Drive. American Legion Post 148 meets the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. The Veterans of Foreign Wars meets the second Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Windham Veterans Association meets the fourth Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. The fourth Wednesday is a combined meeting for all groups at 7 p.m.

Library activities for adults

The book group at the Windham Public Library, 217 Windham Center Road, meets the last Tuesday of each month at 6:15 p.m. Library teas are help approximately every 6 weeks on Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. Space is limited. FMI, call Barbara at 892-1908.

 

Windham Library Story Times

Raymond Village Library Story Times
There are three different story times at the Raymond Village Library, 3 Meadow Road. Mondays at 10 a.m. babies from birth to 18 months old are invited to sing, hear stories and do fingerplays. Mondays at 11 a.m. is for preschoolers from 3 to 5 years old. On Wednesday, toddlers, ages 18 to 36 months, are invited to two separate sessions at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. FMI, call 655-4283.

The Raymond Village Library, 3 Meadow Road, is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. FMI, 655-4283.

Gray Public Library
The library, 5 Hancock St. in Gray, is open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Story times are 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. A knitting group meets on Tuesday afternoons from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Bring a project to work on. Don’t forget to sign up for the adult and young adult book clubs. FMI, call 657-4110.

Ricker Memorial Library
The Ricker Memorial Library, 1211 Maine St. in Poland, is open Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays they are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Preschool Story Time is every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Ricker Memorial Library

Ricker Memorial Library holds a new program for elementary children and tweens. Follow the foot steps into the library collect the information on a wide range of self-directed topics and complete activities.
